Design of Sustainable Living at AGHA Fair, Australia 2023
Craftpair participated for AGHA, Sydney, Australia 2023. It was an opportunity to display and introduce our sustainable products to the Australian continent
The fragrances of eucalyptus lead us to the venue The Sydney Olympic Park. A nice walk made us more energetic and we started with setting up our stall in the Indian Pavilion. It was a large open space that accommodated various categories of home and life style products.
Inside the venue – Sydney Olympic Park
We displayed our major category of products, as we are experimenting new fairs we had taken only a small space and it was a built up stall. There are limitations when it comes to decorating the built up booths. Still we could manage to decorate and catch attention of the buyers with our products. We are happy about the fact that, Australian buyers are inclined to the sustainable choices. It is a need and there is more demand from different corners of the world.
Our display will never be complete without plants, after the initial set up we started searching for plants and we could get enough plants for our display from a nearby department store. It is very important reach two days prior to the event, if you have these kinds of display requirement.
An amazing application of coir in Sydney
The flower blooms in basket made of coir, after the fair hours we set out to explore the beautiful surroundings. The different cultures, products and the connection of the continent with India and other parts of the world were visible in everywhere. These practices made us understand each countries inclination towards sustainable practices in all possible ways.
The use and application of coir – coco fibre was evident in many places. We were happy to these coir baskets in the roads of Sydney. Well protected and nourished plants decorate the roads as in a painting

We are happy about entering to another continent with our Eco friendly products. A beautiful country of wonderful people. We are thankful to our friends from Kerala settled in Australia for helping us with many things during our stay in Sydney.
And there are many names that we need to spell here like Kim – A wonderful and kind lady who makes coir brushes. It was a connection that the coco fiber made. People work with same raw materials tends to have similar preferences.
